Dear Pat, Ryan, Eric and Crew,
Now that the final invoice is paid, the engineers are satisfied, and the work is complete, I wanted to take a moment to share with you how much this kitchen project means to me and my family.
First a little back story... In the spring of 2018 Beth's mom (Nonni) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Nobody knew what to expect, but we most certainly did not anticipate having her with us 3 years later. Each additional day is like borrowed time, and the future is not to be taken for granted.
Two years ago Beth's mom gave us a rather large Christmas gift and said something like "I can't force you to spend it on a kitchen..." but she knew it was something Beth would really like and I would never want to pay for. We dragged our feet for a while, and by the time we were ready to get serious Covid came along and added all kinds of uncertainty to our lives. So we put the project on hold. At the same time, Nonni began to need more and more medial attention and trips to the hospital became a normal part of our routing. After a few scary incidents towards the end of last year we began to think she may never see the outcome of her very generous gift. This little reality check prompted us to restart the project despite the still crazy times.
During construction I watched in awe as everything took shape from the ground up, one day at a time. Each night for the last 15 minutes of my day, I would pause and stare, noticing every emerging detail as I thought to myself "I can't believe this is our house!" We will not miss the green cupboards, fall-apart-in-your-hand hardware, crummy dishwasher, even worse disposal, delaminated countertops, rot and mold behind the faucet, hard to clean floors, poorly designed pantry, shredded drywall, dirty paint (even the ceiling somehow) , and nicked up baseboards. There is only 1 thing that I really liked about our old kitchen, the barstool counter for family pancake breakfasts, a feature that has served us well over the years!
Now that the work is done we are thrilled to make our new kitchen a central part of our family life again as we begin the hopefully long and slow process of making it an old kitchen! It is truly the most utilized room in the house, the place we come together to prepare meals, share pizza with our friends, start our weekend on a Saturday morning, unload all our groceries, play board games, host our Christmas party, check homework and more. And not only is it stunning to look at, it is by design the most robust, sturdy and functional components and construction that we could afford. We call that a win-win!
But the best part of this new kitchen has little to do with the hardware, craftsmanship or attention to detail. The best part is that Beth was able to show Nonni what her gift provided for our family. And those 2 important people feeling happy makes me happy too! We don't know how long Nonni will be with us, but whether it is a month or 10 more years, she will be part of all our "kitchen experiences" as long as we live in this house. And unless I can convince Beth to move to a cabin at the lake, we will probably be serving our grandkids pancakes on our new barstool countertops someday.
So thank you to McNeill's Cabinetry, REM Installs, and all your excellent crew members who did great work and treated our house and family with respect. It means so much more than you would ever know.
We just finished working with McNeill\'s Cabinetry/REM Installations on a first floor renovation that included new cabinets, countertops, and backsplash in our kitchen and powder room, wainscoting in the dining room, and new flooring throughout. We could not be happier with what feels like a brand new home! We also could not be more pleased with everyone on the REM team. From design to demo to installation and finishing touches, the process went smoothly and the result is spectacular! We especially enjoyed working with Erin, Ryan, Sean, and Chris. We will definitely contact REM for any future projects we may have and highly recommend them for yours!
Just a quick note to say that our bath project was a project well done by McNeill’s and by REM Installations. Well done and we are pleased.
And what made the project a success was yourself and the folks at McNeill’s and at REM. We were well treated from the moment that we walked into your store until the garage door closed yesterday and your guys left. We especially appreciated the help of Matthew Chapman and Erin McMillian in the planning and purchasing. Spot on in the many details.
Of course the guys at the installation are key to fine craftsmanship. We were served by Sean Frey and Chris McMillan. Especially at this time of Covid, they were very solicitous of our safety. And the specs were followed meticulously. Fine job. Atta Boy!
It's been a pleasure working with your company. The staff was professional, on-time and very neat. My new kitchen is a show stopper. I am so pleased, can't wait to show all of my friends.
I will recommend (you) to anyone needing your type of services. Thanks again!
Special thanks to Matt & Eric! Great work for putting together my plan and the unit!
Without hesitation, I can say that REM is truly the best organization in northeast Ohio for your home renovation needs. From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, REM is the most professional, courteous, trustworthy, and skilled team I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Whether you are starting to think through the renovation process, or soliciting quotes, do yourself a favor and call REM - I can guarantee you will be thrilled you did.
REM Installations is professional company to work with, and they do top notch work! They designed and built a sunroom addition to our home, and it is magnificent. Their team came up with creative ideas for the design, though they were open to and implemented our ideas too. They did the job in a timely fashion and communication was easy. They also remodeled/installed a new kitchen for us four years ago and it is beautiful. We would highly recommend REM Installations to anyone considering a remodel or addition to their home.
We have worked with Eric and his team on two home remodeling projects. Excellent, quality work!! They are attentive to detail, professional and so easy to work with. We highly recommend them!!!
I worked with Eric and Ryan on a complete bathroom remodel in 2008 and being completely satisfied enlisted REM to do my total Condominium remodel in 2016. Eric and the entire crew were professional, clean, and courteous. The craftsmanship was exceptional but most of all I appreciated the willingness to fulfill all of my, many, requests and return calls promptly. I would Highly recommend REM.
Fantastic work from planning to installation. Very detail oriented; best quality materials used. Efficient & friendly people throughout the company. We had a full kitchen remodel & the craftsmanship was flawless.
The team at REM Installations is fantastic to work with! They do excellent work and lead you through the process step by step, from design/build to installation. High quality materials and expert craftsmanship. Highly recommend!
Debbie and I would like to Thank You and the Team at REM Installations. A special thanks to Shawn and Jeremy for the great job that they did installing our bathroom shower, vanity and foyer flooring. They had great attention to detail and ensured that the job was done correctly.
The kitchen remodel job was excellent as well. All of your installers were great to work with, very professional excellent craftsmanship.
It has been a pleasure working with you. Thank you for the Great Job. We look forward to working with you and the crew at REM on future projects.
I wanted to tell you how much we absolutely love our new den. The custom made cabinetry, fireplace mantle and paneled walls came out beautiful. Please feel free to show our job to any of your future customers at any time.
Thank you so much for the beautiful renovation you did on our house. We couldn’t be happier! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you for the beautiful bathrooms. I love them! Thank you also for your patience and kindness that you have shown me through this whole process. I know I have been a challenge at times, so I am very glad no one has ended up bald! When you would say to me you want to make your customers happy, you truly did mean it, and for that I am very grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to meet with us yesterday. Your explanations of all the estimates was very helpful. You guys did a great job! Have a happy, healthy, and blessed summer.
Mike & I wish to thank you again for all you did to help us realize our dream kitchen. We are so pleased! I sometimes stand in there and marvel that this space is ours! Thanks for your assistance and expertise.
Thank you so much for helping with the design of our kitchen & bathroom. We just love our bath! You guys did an AMAZING job!
My husband and I want to sincerely express our great appreciation for the outstanding work completed for us by your company. Immediately upon meeting you we were assured, and were impressed with your professional integrity, as well as the personal integrity to us. Throughout the length of time we came to know you, it was an honor and an absolute joy to welcome you into our house. Thank you.
I do not believe I can express in an email how completely pleased, happy, overjoyed we are with our new kitchen. First of all, Ryan has been beyond tremendous! I know at times we probably drove him crazy (especially with Phil around the house)! Always on time, beyond the call of duty, attention to detail. All of the guys (I’m not sure of all their names) were wonderful young men. You and your company have much to be proud about. Considering this was the first time for Phil and I to do a project of this magnitude and having to pick everything out, we are absolutely thrilled with the result. The bar area may be our favorite part! I will finally get to display some beautiful pieces of crystal that I inherited from my parents. Please feel free to use Phil and I as referrals. We are looking forward to many family meals, relaxing cup of coffee (or wine) in our beautiful kitchen! THANK YOU SO MUCH.
